Operating locally as Torrens Transit, it is responsible for delivering bus services across Adelaide’s East West, North South and Outer North East bus contract areas.

On 5 July 2020, Torrens Connect commenced the operation of the North South Contract area in Adelaide, delivering bus and light rail services in joint venture with Transit Systems, (operating locally as Torrens Transit) John Holland Group Pty Ltd and UGL Pty Ltd.

The North South region has been designed as a fully integrated bus and light rail network, where both modes work together – complementing each other.

Between high frequency services and integrated bus and light rail outcomes, Torrens Connect is set to provide an improved customer experience for Adelaide public transport customers.

Torrens Connect operates Adelaide’s light rail network and the North South bus contract.

This is Transit Systems first light rail contract, securing Kelsian Group’s as one of Australia’s most experienced and diverse multi-modal transport operators, boasting performance-driven capabilities across ferry, bus and light rail operations.
